A relational approach to therapy

I work relationally, which means that together we explore not only what you're experiencing, but also how your experiences, relationships and ways of relating to yourself may have developed over time.

Our early experiences can influence how we see ourselves, how we relate to others and how we respond when relationships become difficult.

Therapy can provide an opportunity to understand these patterns with curiosity rather than judgement, and to consider new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you.

My approach to therapy is grounded in openness, curiosity, and deep respect. I see each person’s story as unique, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you explore, heal, and grow. I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where you can feel fully accepted and truly yourself.

As a BACP registered counsellor, I draw on Attachment theory, Gestalt, Psychodynamic approaches, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to tailor therapy to your individual needs. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” model. Instead, I offer a flexible, integrative approach that is designed around you, your goals, and your personal journey. Whether you are navigating a period of transition, grief, healing from trauma, or simply seeking more clarity and meaning, your growth and well-being are always at the centre of my practice.

Therapeutic relationship

The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of how I work. A trusting and genuine connection enables you to talk freely about your experiences, whether past or present, and to explore the patterns that might be holding you back. Together, we can make sense of your feelings, behaviours, and relationships, and begin to see how your past has shaped your present. From this awareness comes the possibility of change: new ways of relating to yourself, to others, and to life.
